Hello! One 11 Studios is a boutique agency that specializes in design, branding and social media growth for lifestyle brands and female entrepreneurs. We strive to make you and your business sparkle online! From branding development, graphic and web design, and social media growth and strategy…we've got you covered!
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed trying to find high-quality website photos, then you need to read (and bookmark) this post! We all know how important having images on our websites are. Studies suggest that articles with relevant images get 94% more views than those without. 32% of marketers say visual images are the most important form of content for their business.
Images can be used directly on your web page, on your social media, for downloadables or even for your future ebook! The use of images for marketing materials is endless and it definitely pays to have high-quality images, too. So, I’ve done the research and give you the 10 best places to find high-quality website photos for your creative business!
Below you will find my recommended stock photo list that has served me well in my own business. I’ve included SIX free and FOUR paid image sourcing websites – dependent on your budget preference!
Pexels holds an enormous selection of collated images from other image sourcing sites. This means it can be a great option for those who have limited time and don’t want to hop from one image source site to another.
Undoubtedly popular, Unsplash offers a great variety and selection of high-quality images donated by semi-professional and professional photographers for commercial use. The site releases ten new images every ten days. Therefore, you are always gaining more image options.
Flickr has a large collection of images – which is great for the harder to find topics. Unfortunately, quality can sometimes lack here. The perks, however, include saving and sorting images for later, and a great on-page editing tool to enhance images before download. Please note that most images need author credit.
Pixabay is a great free alternative to Shutterstock with over 1 million free high-quality photos. You really can’t go wrong on this one. According to their website, no attribution is required.
Morguefile is a great website for stock images. Here you can like or bookmark images – which comes in handy for later. While these photos may not be professional-grade, they are decent and offer a variety of choices.
Picjumbo is an easy to use sourcing webpage that has no image restrictions and needs no crediting. There are new image uploads daily and they can all be organized into topics. The site requires you to sign up for access. Beware that while most images are free, a select few require payment.
I LOVE KateMaxStock photos. Here you can find a large variety of high-quality styled photos that fit with your brand. From modern to feminine and everything in between, Kate has images for everyone. This is a great choice for creative entrepreneurs. There is a membership option available, but any image is available for purchase with no subscription needed.
Haute Stock is another boutique brand that offers a variety of stylish images. Geared more towards creative businesses, this site is membership-based for a reasonable annual or quarterly fee.
Oh Tilly is another great boutique option for feminine and luxury images. This affordable, membership-based site is currently sitting at 1400 high-quality images, with over 40 new ones added every month.
StoryBlocks is an affordable stock image option for high-quality photos. There are currently over 427,00 royalty-free photos to choose from this membership site.
With so many great stock image options, your business is primed for catching your audience’s eye. Using high-quality images from any of these websites will help you (and your web designer) create a beautiful page for your business!
