Located in sunny Los Angeles, California, One 11 Studios is a strategy and design studio that specializes in the areas of branding, content creation, and social media. We work alongside visionaries, dreamers, and risk-takers to turn ideas into a reality and concepts into inspirational brands.
Branding is so much more than just a logo, which is why we go beyond the visuals to set our clients up for success with a cutting edge strategy. When our clients are ready to take the leap and create the business they’ve always dreamed about, they can count on us to be their partner in crime!
I'm Amber D'Ambrosio. Pleasure to meet you! I grew up being completely obsessed with anything having to do with arts and crafts and always dreamed of having a career doing something creative. That being said, being "realistic" told me that the likelihood of being able to actually be one of those people who 1) worked for themselves or 2) actually did what they loved for a living was pretty slim to none.
Luckily, in addition to my obsession with all things art, I also grew up with a crazy huge love of science and medicine. I could probably quote more scenes from ER and Grey's Anatomy than is ever truly necessary...so when it was time to head off to college, I went full steam ahead to pursuing a career in the medical field (regardless of the fact that my heart was never really in it).
In college I did all the things right. I took the classes, did the extracurriculars, and got the grades. Then, a couple of years in to school I got into a life changing car accident and was in the hospital and bed ridden for more time than I care to think about and that's when everything changed.
While I was recovering from my accident, I had PLENTY of time to think and ponder about all the things. I thought about life, and how close I was to losing mine. I spent months trying to get my strength back and for my bones to heal enough for me to even be able to lift my arms far enough over my head to wash my hair. Three month later, after I had finally healed to the point that I felt sort of like a human again, I decided that life was too short to spend it doing things that don't light your soul on fire.
Even though I knew that I didn't want to be a doctor or a nurse, I still didn't know what EXACTLY I wanted to be. I knew I wanted to do something creative, but when you're in your early 20's, who really knows what that is?
So...I did what every normal human would do...and I went to work. While in high school and college I worked a variety of retail jobs and if there was anything I knew...it was that I NEVER wanted to work those jobs again. So I buckled down and started going the corporate route.
Over the next 10 years, I worked my way up the corporate ladder in various companies including a tire company, pet insurance company, engineering firm and finally an architectural firm. While I was working, I still managed to find time to get back to college to pursue a degree in graphic design and advertising. And if that wasn't enough, went back for a second degree in marketing communications!
I went back to school with the intention of using my degree and experience to move my way up the corporate ladder. I figured it was the best to both worlds...I would have the security of a corporate position but also get that artsy fartsy fix that I spent my entire life being drawn to. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before I figured out that this was NOT the way things would end up going.
So I took matters into my own hands and finally decided to embrace my destiny and make my own dreams come true. While working at the architectural firm, I started freelancing on the side and about a year into the side hustle game, I took the plunge and left the safety of office life and One 11 Creative Services was born.
It definitely has not been smooth sailing from the start...but after quite a few years of learning the ropes, honing my design style, teaching myself various platforms, and really getting deep and figuring out who my ideal client is, I am happy to say that leaving the corporate world was the best decision I ever made. Not only do I finally get to do what I love, but I get to help other boss babes excel in their businesses as well!
